Thomas, who was NSA at the time when Nijjar was shot dead in Surrey last year, appeared before Canada’s foreign interference inquiry

In a startling admission during a public inquiry, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau admitted that Canada had no "hard evidentiary proof" to support allegations linking Indian government agents to the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Justin Trudeau said Canadian officials had first sought cooperation with India “in a responsible way” that doesn’t "blow up" ties between Ottawa and New Delhi.

Jody Thomas, who was NSA at the time of Hardeep Singh Nijjar's murder, told the foreign interference inquiry that members of the Canadian Sikh community were not satisfied with the assessment that the killing was a tit-for-tat for Ripudaman Singh Malik's murder.
