The trailer for Peacock's upcoming British television drama series, The Day of the Jackal, was unveiled on Wednesday. The series is an adaptation of Frederick Forsyth's novel of the same name. Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch star in lead roles in this series directed by Brian Kirk.

There is plenty of evidence of this in the trailer, where the cat-and-mouse chase between the Jackal (Redmayne's codename) and Lynch's Bianca sees them scaling down buildings, donning disguises, going against orders and lying to their loved ones.
