Suspect Vem Miller says the sheriff intentionally lied to boost his reputation after he told reporters they “probably” stopped a third assassination attempt on Trump.

Deputies assigned to former President Donald Trump's rally in California's Coachella Valley Saturday arrested a Las Vegas man at a checkpoint for allegedly possessing a loaded firearm, a shotgun and a high-capacity magazine.

The man arrested near former President Trump’s Coachella, Calif., rally over the weekend sued the Riverside County sheriff for defamation and other claims, saying there were “preposterous allegations” made about the incident possibly being an assassination attempt.

Vem Miller posts a video saying he did not plan to assassinate Trump, and in fact supports the ex-president for standing up to ‘tyranny.’
