The Indian equity benchmarks are set to open higher as indicated by Gift Nifty futures traded at Gift City in Gandhinagar. Gift Nifty rose 71 points or 0.28 per cent to 25,255 amid strong cues from other Asian markets.

Gift Nifty at 25,260 signals a gap-up opening of about 100 points for Nifty. However, FPI flows, especially after Chinese stimulus and strong US macro data, will be the key for a recovery in Indian markets, they said. T

GIFT Nifty was trading up 80 points or 0.32% at 24,868, indicating a lower start for the domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex. The Asian markets were trading on a negative note on Tuesday morning.
