The discount retailer, which filed for bankruptcy in September, has already closed 300 of its 1,400 locations across the U.S.

Monday, signs inside and outside the 4215 S. Carson St., store advertised the impending closure and discounts on items.

Another Arizona Big Lots store will be closed, leaving only three remaining locations open across the state. The Columbus, Ohio-based retailer, which in the midst of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, has added 56 more to the growing list of planned store closings.

The Big Lots store in the Indian Hills Plaza in Union Township is among several across the country that are closing after the owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in federal court in Delaware Sept. 9. The Mt. Pleasant location is set to close Dec. 22, and the Saginaw store is also closing, according to various media reports.

Big Lots is set to close nearly four dozen additional stores as it continues navigating through its bankruptcy filing. Two of the stores on the new list are in Hampton Roads: in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

Big Lots announced store closings for the sixth week in a row, adding its last remaining Philadelphia store to the list.
