CHENNAI: Workers at Samsung’s plant near Chennai on Wednesday decided to end their strike, which lasted more than a month, and return to work on Thurs.

CHENNAI: Workers at the Samsung India Electronics Ltd, who ended their strike demanding better pay and working conditions, would resume work from tomorrow, the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) said on Wednesday.

On October 15, the Tamil Nadu government said that the Samsung workers had agreed to resolve the strike amicably at the earliest.

After over a month-long strike, Samsung India Employees' Union and management have reached an agreement. Various demands of the striking workers were accepted by the company. Tamil Nadu's government played a key role in mediating the settlement,
