After veteran politician Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai on Saturday (12 October) night, NDTV sources indicate that his son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, may also be targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

On Saturday night, Baba Siddique was murdered outside his office in Nirmal Nagar. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The accused told during interrogation that both Zeeshan and Baba Siddiqui were on the target and they were ordered to fire on anyone they found.

A fourth person, Shubuu Lonkar, believed to be an associate of the Bishnoi gang under the alias Shubham Lonkar, was arrested after he claimed responsibility for Siddique's murder. The investigation has revealed that the accused had been keeping a watch on the places frequented by Baba and Zeeshan Siddique.

Mumbai Police revealed that both NCP leader Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan were targets in the murder case. Pravin Lonkar has been arrested for sheltering the accused, while his brother Shubuu remains at large.
