WASHINGTON — Monday was a little bit sweeter for Jakub Vrana, as he learned that he'd survived the final round of cuts and would be returning to the Washington Capitals, the team he started his career with and always felt was home to him.

The Washington Capitals have signed Jakub Vrana to a one-year, $775,000 contract. The contract is a one-way deal. Vrana was in training camp on a player tryout agreement (PTO).

Per PuckPedia, Vrana has inked a one-year, one-way contract worth the league minimum of $775,000 to reunite with the team that made him a first-round pick in 2014. He will be part of the team's opening night roster, which is officially set as of 5 p.m. ET.
