BJP secures 29 seats in Jammu region in the J&K assembly elections, with nearly 26% vote share but fails to form a government. Significant winners include Shagun Parihar and Shakti Raj Parihar, amidst challenges from Pakistan-backed terrorism and violence affecting various constituencies.

The BJP achieved a historic third term in Haryana, winning 48 seats. In Jammu and Kashmir, the NC-Congress alliance secured 48 seats, with Omar Abdullah set to become Chief Minister.

The Haryana win is also special for the BJP as it had suffered losses in the state in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, winning only five of the 10 seats

The NC won 42 out of 51 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, while the BJP secured 29 seats. In Haryana, the BJP achieved a historic victory with 48 seats, overcoming setbacks. The Congress won 36 seats but faced disappointing results despite a close vote share with the BJP.
