Underwater Drones Just Found a ‘Ghost Ship’ from WWII at the Bottom of the Pacific
The USS Stewart, nicknamed the “Ghost Ship of the Pacific” has been sunk, resurrected, rescued and sunk again during its wild lifetime. In August, three autonomous drones scanned the ocean floor, finally locating the ship’s marine growth-covered hull 3,500 feet beneath the surface.
