Microsoft is about to change the gaming experience with a new feature that would let you stream your own Xbox games. The development, part of an initiative called Project Lapland, is aimed at bolstaring the capabilities of Xbox Cloud Gaming servers. It would support streaming for thousands of games, far beyond the existing Xbox Game Pass library.

The feature is reportedly being referred to as “Project Lapland” and encompasses an update to the servers on which Xbox Cloud Gaming runs. For Microsoft, this likely entails assuring that their servers can handle a wide range of games, ranging in graphics and speed.

Windows Central's Jez Corden has apparently been told by his own sources that this rollout "won't be all Xbox games all at once" and it will instead be in batches. As for Xbox fans outside of the US, it sounds like these new cloud versions may be made available via the Xbox "Play" website for now, rather than directly via the app.
